Where do you hail from originally? Do tell!

"I was born and raised on a horse farm in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. No I'm not Amish - I get that question all the time! Yes, my neighbors were Amish for most of my life. But me, nope!"

What would be on your list of "favorite things"?

(This is, of course, if you were Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music, obviously.)

"Jesus. Cookies, obviously. The Office. Laughing my buns off. Singing. Middle Eastern food. Documentaries. National Holidays. The smell of rain on Pavement. "

Tell your fans a bit about yourself! Don't be shy!

"I'm 25 years old and I can be pretty ridiculous. LET'S LAUGH. I love Jesus loads and loads. I'm from a family of nine children. I'm the owner, lead photographer and lead editor of Sarah Gehman Photography. I'll be the one emailing and contacting you! I've been a professional wedding cake consumer / photographer for weddings (all over) for five years, now, and let me be real with ya'll. I. LOVE. MY. JOB. I'm not sick of it. Nope - not one bit! I like to have a LOT of fun and I'm most likely going to try to make you laugh (and hope to succeed). My life is a musical. I think cookies count as a meal, if enough are consumed. But, I love kale. *shrugs"

Which part of the wedding day do you love to photograph the most and why?

"Bring on the bride and groom portraits, please! THIS is where I come alive, creatively. I love capturing these portraits because I know that these are the portraits that will be passed down for generations and have to stand the test of time. Wedding days can feel overwhelming, so I love to steal the bride and groom and leave space for them to relax and enjoy each other while having lots of fun."

BONUS / EXTRA SAUCE:

1. I was voted class clown in high school.

2. I gave my life to Jesus when I was thirteen at a youth retreat and haven't been the same since. Can I get an amen?!

3. My family used to have TONS of kittens and my sister's and I would train our kittens and race them against each other.  (I'm aware you can do nothing with this information.)

Where do you hail from originally? Do tell!

"I'm originally from the Northern Bay Area of California. Wine country! I wholeheartedly believe it's the most beautiful place in California (sorry, Yosemite!). Still love it there, but Hawaii feels like home now more than ever. I was made for tropical places!"

What would be on your list of "favorite things"?

(This is, of course, if you were Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music, obviously.)

"Sunset swims at the beach, Latin America and the UK, One Direction is my guilty pleasure, pizza is my weakness, spontaneous road trips, quality time with close friends, watching good movies, intimate concerts of great artists, reading books and giving them away to people, and a good cup of coffee in an aesthetically pleasing cafe."

Tell your fans a bit about yourself! Don't be shy!

"I'm Alyssa! I am a 26-year-old who has spent the last six years traveling the world. I spent a couple months in Holland, the Amazon region of Brazil, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and a large portion in Barcelona, Spain. I made Hawaii my home again this past summer. I thrive in the islands.

This is my fourth summer photographing weddings and I absolutely love it. It's such a rush getting to be a part of the busy-ness of a wedding day. What drew me to photography is a desire to express the beauty I see to others. I feel like the smallest things in life can display the deepest emotions, feelings, and memories. I so believe in a world that is filled with hope and the freedom to dream the biggest dreams we possibly can. This is why I love to not only photograph people, but the details surrounding them as well."

Which part of the wedding day do you love to photograph the most and why?

My favorite part is probably when the bride and groom are getting ready. My style is more photojournalistic and I love getting to capture the raw moments leading up to the ceremony and all the little details. Everyone is so excited, a bit nervous, and kind of silly. It's super fun!

BONUS / EXTRA SAUCE:

1. I speak Spanish. It's a bit rusty but I hope to travel back to Latin America real soon.

2. I once learned how to breathe fire in Brazil. Super random moment!

3. I have a Spotify playlist called "bad day" that literally only has One Direction songs. HA. It really puts me in a better mood when necessary.

Where do you hail from originally?

"I am originally from a small town in northern Lancaster County, moving once across the cul-di-sac to where my family still resides (yes, we did literally pick up our stuff and walk it across the road to our new home) After graduating college, I moved to Charlottesville, Virginia where I resided for a year until moving back to Lancaster County to marry my best friend and be closer to family."

Tell your fans a bit about yourself! Don't be shy!

"Hi friends! I’m Katherine! A 26-year old who loves southern charm, sunshine, and my corgi, Dolly (named after my favorite country lady, Dolly Parton). I am married to my best friend, Waylen, who has been supporting my passion for love and photography for the past four years. How quickly four years can fly when you’re having fun! I truly love what I do and feel so honored to be welcomed into couples lives to document their happiest of moments. You can bet your bottom dollar I will be grinning from ear to ear all day long and I will try to only let out a handful of squeals about how cute the bride and groom are!"

Which part of the wedding day do you love to photograph the most and why?

"How do I choose just one?! I would have to say the bride & groom portraits are definitely my all time favorite! Add in a sunset and we are GOLDEN. Literally! I can just never get enough of forehead kisses, sweet looks exchanged, and the unending smiles and carefree laughter."

How would you describe the client experience that you love to give on a wedding day?

"I am my couples biggest fan! I will be there to help make sure your day goes smoothly and that you have absolutely nothing to worry about! (except for maybe how big of a piece of cake to eat) I will lend a helping hand, make sure you are having the best day ever, befriend all of your bridal party, all while still capturing the little in between moments shared."

What would be on your list of "favorite things"?

(This is, of course, if you were Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music, obviously.)

"My handsome hubby, Dolly the corgi, handwritten notes and cards, The South, summertime, I have an equal love for the beach & mountains, hunting, country music, road trips, coffee & mimosas, cookies (or really anything with chocolate), home decorating, & gardening."

BONUS / EXTRA SAUCE:

1. I can identify a song seconds after it starts playing. No lyrics needed.

2. I hiked Half Dome in Yosemite National Park with my dad, the summer after graduating high school.

3. I am one of those people who is cold all the time, so you can more often than not find me wrapped in a fuzzy blanket. No matter the time of year. P.S. the fuzzier the blanket, the better!
