Some quarantine prayers...

HELLO MY FRIENDS !!!!

***The extrovert in me aggressively waving at every single human (and animal) that passes by me on my neighborhood quarantine walks. Is anyone else with me on this one?

***I’m slightly concerned that my waving / greeting game is getting to be a little TOO aggressive / desperate. Hmm…

***Did you need to see three images, side by side by side, of me waving? Nope. But, did I want you to feel REALLY well-greeted when you stumbled upon this very blog post? Yup. I hope this occurred for you. Yes, you!

I’m here today, simply, to say this to you….

  1. I pray that you are praying, to God, in this time.

  2. He hears your prayers.

  3. It’s okay that, sometimes, your prayers feel heavy because you’re being honest with Him. He’s not afraid of your emotions.

Here’s a peak inside some of my quarantine prayers

that I’ve yelled, whispered and sang as of recent…

(All verses are click-able, if you’d like to read and be encouraged along side of me!)

“God, help me to not worry today. You are in control.” (Matthew 6:34)

“God, I trust you with my business. ***Repeats, 7x70 times.” (Psalm 9:10)

“God, wait…what is happening?” (Proverbs 3:5)

“God, please take care of my family. Because I literally can’t be there to do it.” (Again, Matthew 6:25-34)

“God, why aren’t more people inviting me to Zoom game nights?” (Couldn’t find the perfect verse…)

“God, I trust that you will provide what I need.” (Luke 12:22-26)

“God, please stop this virus. I know that you’re way bigger than COVID-19, even if we capitalize all of the letters in it’s name and we only capitalize the first of yours.” (Matthew 19:26)

“God, I was afraid today. I don’t want to be stuck in fear. Help me! I know there isn’t fear in Love!” (1 John 4:18)

“God, can you please kindly convict anyone who is spreading false information?” (Romans 2:4)

“Jesus, can you actually take the wheel? I’m gonna nap in the passenger seat until we get to wherever this sketchy side road seems to be taking us. Feet on the dashboard and all. I’m just glad that you know the directions.” (Jeremiah 32:27)

“God, I need a lot more peace today than I did yesterday. Send some ASAP! Thanks! I know you have buckets of it to share!” (Philippians 4:6-7)

“God, for 30 minutes straight, I compared myself to others on instagram and it made me sad, a little bit angry, unaccomplished and disappointed in myself. I know that’s not how I’m meant to live. Forgive me! Thanks for making me unique and beautiful!” (Psalm 139:13-16)

“God, you are REALLY powerful!” (Jeremiah 10:12)

“Hey…could you make calories not count in quarantine?

Because…like…cookies exist. Asking for a friend!”

(LMK if you have the perfect, encouraging, non-convicting verse for this one. I want to feel good. Not bad.)

“My God is so BIG, so strong and so mighty. There’s nothing my God cannot do!’ ***Sings!”

“Your plans are way better than anything I could come up with!” (Romans 8:28)

“God, I’m really glad that you are all knowing and that I’m not.” (1 John 3:20)

I would love to hear some of your quarantine prayers. Serious. Funny. Angelic. Whatever they may be, again, He hears them. He is powerful. And He knows what’s best, even if we think that we have better ideas. We most definitely do not.

COMMENT WITH SOME OF YOUR PRAYERS, PLEASE!

God bless each of you cool cats and kittens!

So, so sincerely, Sarah Gehman
