Miles

Miles' mother, Janelle, contacted me about booking a newborn session quite a few weeks ago. But, little did we all know that this shoot would come weeks before we had expected! Miles came four weeks early and is perfectly healthy - he just wanted to surprise everyone. I think he did JUST we he set out to do. He is a stunning little creation and I'm honored to have welcomed him into the world by doing what I do best - giving good quality profile photos! KIDDING - who know's what social media will look like when he grows up.

I always love to hear your favorites! My favorite shot of Miles is the very first one!

Tyler + Ashley

I met Ashley in April of 2012 in Kona, Hawaii (of all the places, right?). We were both doing a school with YWAM  that changed our lives forever, but...that's a whole other story. Ashley and I got to reunite at the joyful occasion of her wedding. I hopped on two little jet planes and made my way down south to Nashville, TN to photograph Ashley + Tyler's wedding day. Other than the good ole' southern heat, I have nothing to complain about! There were loads of detailing, planning and creativity that came together to make this wedding magic happen!

Side note:

This wedding was so beautiful that even the butterflies came to watch!

See if you can find them. ;)

Tyler + Ashley met each other while studying film at Liberty University and the rest was history. They both, clearly, fit so well together and I couldn't be more excited for the two of them AND to have been a part of their day! The ceremony was so meaningful for two major reasons because Tyler's father, Guy Penrod, was the officiant, and because the entire wedding was dedicated to glorifying Jesus. What a joy to see a young couple who have given their marriage to the Lord!

Please enjoy these photos and let me know which ones are your favorites!

And big thanks to my second shooter, Melanie Siegrist, for her wonderful photos

AND for letting me crash at her house.

Adriana

Adriana is an adorable friend of an adorable friend.

When Adriana and I chatted on the phone about her session a few weeks ago, we both knew that we would get along all too well. We were both 100% correct, too. Adriana, her mom and I wondered around downtown Lititz for the evening and the lighting was perfection. Also...what are the odds that Adriana is considering doing a school with YWAM? The odds are pretty high! Been there...still doing that. ;)

I love the connections and friendships I get to make with my job.

Without further adieu, here are Adriana's senior photos.

Ian + Edie

Me, myself and my old school playlist took a little road trip out to Pittsburg, Pa for Ian + Edie's engagement photos. No, we had never met before but these two are like family....almost literally. Ian is my sister in law's brother. So he's basically my brother. I think that's how that works, right? I'm so glad that we all got to meet! It's pretty safe to say that this photo session did not feel like a job. We had so much fun walking around McConneles Mill State Park snapping photos of the four of them.

It. Was. Stunning.

Oh, did I mention that they brought their two dogs? Yup - that happened.

Enjoy Ian + Edie's photos... ( & the pups, Kale + Steely)

Haleigh

I'm so excited to share the first part of Haleigh's senior photo session! Haleigh and I both know each other from the horse world we've both been involved in for years - fun connection, right?

Horses are one of my favorite "props" for a session, so I was super excited when Haleigh wanted to book a session with JUST her and her horse Sturgis. Let's just say....shout out to Haleigh's Dad for all of the behind the scenes work he did to get Sturgis' ears up! It may sound silly, but it completely changes the look of the photo if the horse's ears look perfect, too.

Enough of my ranting about horse ears (who even does that?)...check out Haleigh (& Sturgis') senior photos! Part 2 of Haleigh's photos is in the works!

Erika

I'm not sure that I've ever had so much fun at a senior session as I did with Erika. She is hilarious and was so natural in front of the camera. Erika and I went to school together years ago. We were even in a musical together - so much fun! It was a joy to reunite with her and have a flawless senior session. She blew me away with her style...and let's talk about that flower crown, folks! She basically looked like the most perfect woodland fairy.

SIDE NOTE: There was a hilarious dog that seemed to follow us around during the shoot...so, I just had to include some "behind the scenes" with the pup because it was too funny. He was basically magnetized to wherever I would tell Erika to go...like, who's shoot actually was it? Someone didn't get the memo.

Enjoy Erika's photos. Which are your favorite?

Erin

Erin and I have been emailing back and forth for weeks now planning her senior portrait session. I think it's safe to say that we were both excited when the day of her session finally arrived. Enough with the emailing, it was finally time to take Erin's senior photos and she knew exactly what she wanted! Erin is a senior at Manheim Central high school and she's been playing the violin since the fourth grade - how cool is that? I love when seniors get to incorporate what they love to do, and what describes them best, into their personal shoot.

The violin photos are my favorite. Which are yours?

JJ + Lauran

I loved seeing high school friends JJ + Lauren tie the knot last weekend at Lakefield Weddings. I've known JJ since the 7th grade and I've played volleyball with Lauren for years, so it was so much fun to be a part of their wedding day, and the day finally arrived! These two love birds have been together for over four years - commitment.

This was definitely the first wedding that I've ever photographed with so many of my high school teachers in attendance, along with many of my high school friends. It was so joyful to to see everyone! In conclusion, the day was full of lots of smiles, the most delicious champagne ever and a happily married couple.

JJ + Lauren thanks for trusting me with your day.

& a BIG thanks to Maddie Broderick for helping me out for the day! Couldn't have done it without my neighbor ;)

Chase + Rebecca

Chase and Rebecca's day was full of country love! I had so much fun working with the two of them at Lakefield Weddings. It was obvious that there was so much thought put into every detail of their day, each of them being so personal - including the buck (shot by Chase) that greeted the guests as they were seated. Their wedding was fully dedicated the Jesus Christ and the reverence of the Lord was evident and I really, really loved that.

Thanks for letting me join in on the wedding fun, Rebecca and Chase! God bless you both.

My favorite photos of the day were the very last ones we took down by the lake - which are yours?

The Saylors

I know Heidi because she was a high school friend of (one of) my older sisters. We've stayed connected over the years and I even got to shoot family photos for the Saylors two years ago. Unfortunately, last year I could not take photos due to being out of the country...you can see how this would cause a problem. But, I was so excited when Heidi contacted me a few weeks ago asking for family photos. This was BY FAR my favorite family photo session that I've ever shot. The Saylor family is adventurous and full of so much life...there was no way it could go wrong. Ben and Heidi are total champs. They pushed their stroller with three kids (one being a newborn) for a mile and a half to the white cliffs and a mile and a half back.

Ben and Heidi make beautiful children, as you see below. They even just welcomed their new little girl into the family a few short weeks ago. Welcome to the world, little Cypress! Their adorable little ones passed time on our long walk by picking fresh raspberries from the many, many bushes along the way. Yes, I ate a handful or three. Yes, they were delicious! BOY did it feel like a summer night.

Enjoy the photos and I'd love to hear which ones are your favorite.

Lyndsay

Lyndsay contacted me a few weeks ago and I had an opening, so BOOM! We booked her senior shoot right away. I was so excited to meet her! Other than the fact that she is clearly so fun and adorable (obviously), she attends the very same school that I graduated from. Well, actually, I went to the same school from Kindergarden to twelfth grade. :)

Lyndsay had already dreamed of having her photos at the Hershey hotel, so Lyndsay, her mom and I journeyed to Hershey for the evening. The weather was PERFECT - not too hot and great natural light. It was a win-win situation, folks! On our way back we stopped in an overgrown field area that I saw on the way and grabbed the last few photos from our session. Then on our 40-ish minute trip home we talked about food basically the entire ride because...everyone would do the same thing, right? Maybe it was the Hershsey's chocolate in the air that was getting to us? Yeah, that's what I'll blame it on.

God bless you in your senior year, Lyndsay!

Here are some of my favorite photos from Lyndsay's session.
